## Gravity AI Connect
- [Gravity AI Connect](https://gravityhost.co.uk/ai-connect): connect a compatible ChatGPT or Claude plan to Gravity Host through the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), using the customer's own AI subscription rather than Gravity-billed AI credits.
- Builder tools can list projects, read structured content after secrets and analytics code are removed, and—only with separate `sites:write` approval—create or update reversible unpublished drafts.
- The controlled hosting-file preview can list owned website targets and list/read bounded UTF-8 files. Protected secrets, binary files and symbolic links are excluded. Live create, update and snapshot-restore tools are not currently available.
- `hosting:files:read` applies only to authoritative website document roots on the signed-in customer's active cPanel services. The disabled `hosting:files:write` scope is omitted from OAuth metadata and rejected even on older tokens. The AI never receives or selects a cPanel username, password, WHM token or server path. Email, databases, DNS, cron, billing and cPanel settings are not available.
- Executable PHP, includes and `.htaccess` are outside AI Connect because code launched from a website can inherit the wider cPanel Unix account's authority. Customers can still manage those files directly through cPanel. Live file writes remain gated until Gravity has a reviewed static-only target isolation mechanism; Builder draft writes remain reversible and unpublished.
- Customer websites should retain their existing brand or receive a site-specific accessible design system based on the customer's purpose, audience and preferences. Connected AIs must not copy Gravity Host's logo, Bricolage Grotesque, Plus Jakarta Sans, JetBrains Mono, emerald-and-gold palette, Font Awesome treatment or dark rounded-card interface into customer websites, and should avoid generic AI visual clichés.
- Customers approve explicit permissions through OAuth with PKCE. Hosting-file write permission is currently unavailable, other write permissions remain excluded from the default connection, access can be revoked at any time, and tool calls appear in the customer's AI activity history.
