The useful things, together

Help people plan their visit

Start with the questions people ask before they come through the door. Keep the answers easy to find and simple to update.

A menu you can update

Put dishes and prices on a readable web page, with allergen and dietary information alongside them. Update the text when things change, without leaving an old PDF in circulation.

Hours and how to find you

Show your opening hours, food service times, address and parking information. Keep holiday changes visible for someone checking their phone outside the door.

Your reservations link

Add a clear link to whichever reservation system you already use. Guests follow it to make their booking; that service continues to manage availability and confirmations.

A feel for the place

Share your own photos of the food, tables, garden or counter. Give first-time visitors a useful glimpse of the space, with images sized to load quickly on a phone.

Private hire and events

Explain which spaces you offer for gatherings, what is included and how to enquire. Give events their own details and dates so guests know what is coming up.

Enquiries to your inbox

The Builder's contact form forwards messages to your chosen email address. Set up bookings@ or hello@ at your own domain for private hire questions and everyday enquiries.

An address that belongs to your business

Give your menu a permanent home

Facebook is useful for daily specials and news. Your own website gives people a direct route to the menu and opening hours, without looking through older posts.

  • One recognisable address: use your domain on your window, menus and social profiles, so guests know where to go.
  • Your essential information: keep the current menu, hours and directions together, with clear pages search engines can find.
  • Links that help: point guests to your Google Business Profile and the delivery apps you use, alongside your existing reservations link.
  • Room to grow: add seasonal menus and events, and keep your domain if you change social platforms or move your site, as long as you keep it registered.

Start with your name, a current menu and the practical details. Find your restaurant's domain name.

Questions from food businesses

Can I change the menu myself?

Yes. Use the Website Builder to edit your menu text and publish your changes, or manage it in WordPress if that is how you build. A web page keeps dishes, prices and dietary information readable on a phone, without downloading a PDF. You keep the information current as your menu changes.

Can I keep my existing reservation system?

Yes. Link your website's reservation button to the system you already use. Bookings and confirmations stay with that provider; built-in reservations are not included in the hosting plan. You can also add links to your chosen delivery apps and Google Business Profile.

Will the enquiry form send me the message?

The Builder's contact form forwards enquiries to the recipient address you choose. Set that address before publishing and send a test enquiry to check it reaches your inbox. If you use WordPress or bring an existing site, its form needs its own setup. Message us if you need a hand.

Can I use my own domain for the website and email?

Yes. Use a domain you already own or register a new one. Create addresses such as bookings@ and hello@ at that domain, with no per-mailbox charge; email shares your hosting storage. If you already have working email elsewhere, tell us before the move so we can check the setup with you.

Will people find my restaurant on Google?

A clear menu, address and opening hours give search engines useful content to find. Keep those details consistent with your Google Business Profile and link the profile to your website. Hosting does not guarantee rankings or more bookings; useful, current information helps people decide whether to visit.
