A simple website, on your own domain

Build your website with AI. We'll host it properly.

A real website on your own domain, email at your business name, and a way to make updates by asking an AI in plain English.

Use our free Website Builder, build with GitHub, or start with WordPress. This guide explains what to choose and how to connect your site to your Gravity Host account.

Three ways to build with AI

Each route can give you a website on your own hosting. The difference is how you build it and make changes.

Our free Website Builder + Gravity AI Connect

The simplest route. Connect your own ChatGPT or Claude to your Gravity Host account and ask it to prepare Website Builder drafts. You review and publish them, with nothing to install.

Start with the free Website Builder, then follow Gravity AI Connect's setup guide. You need a compatible AI plan.

GitHub + AI + GitHub Sync

For full control of your files. An AI coding tool writes your site into a GitHub repository: a folder for your website that also keeps its history. GitHub Pages shows a preview.

GitHub Sync copies each published change onto your hosting within the hour, once its safety checks pass. Follow the steps below to connect it.

WordPress

Install WordPress in one click on your hosting, then use any AI to help write pages and content. Paste the results into WordPress, check them and publish.

A useful choice if you like editing pages in a familiar website dashboard. Find WordPress in our included open-source apps.

From your first files to your own domain

Set up GitHub + AI, step by step

This route keeps your files in GitHub, uses GitHub Pages for a preview and publishes the checked site on your Gravity Host hosting.

  1. Create a free GitHub account. Follow GitHub's account guide to sign up.
  2. Create a public repository for your site. Choose a new repository in GitHub, give it any name and set its visibility to Public.
  3. Ask an AI tool to build the site into that repository. Try a tool that can write to GitHub, such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot's coding agent, or ask any AI chat for the files and add them using GitHub's Add file → Upload files button.
  4. Turn on GitHub Pages. In the repository's Settings → Pages, deploy from the main branch, save and open the address it gives you to check the preview, following the GitHub Pages quickstart.
  5. Connect it to Gravity Host. In your account, open GitHub Sync, paste that GitHub Pages address, choose your hosting and click Connect and copy now.
  6. Ask for changes whenever you need them. From then on, each change your AI makes and pushes to GitHub appears on your domain within the hour, once GitHub Pages has published it and the sync's safety checks pass.

Start with a clear request

Prompts you can paste into your AI

For the GitHub route, copy a prompt below and replace the words in square brackets with your details. Check the result before you publish it.

Build your first page

Build me a one-page website for [business] in [town]. Plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript, no server-side code, no build tools. Use relative links so it works at any address. Sections: hero, services, about, contact with a form that posts to /contact.php, opening hours, footer. Mobile first, large readable text, good contrast.

Add your testimonials

Add a testimonials section with three quotes I will give you, matching the existing style.

Get your preview address

Set up GitHub Pages for this repository and tell me the address.

Tell the AI what you want in plain English. If it asks a technical question, paste the question here to us and we will explain.

Your site, with help when you need it

What Gravity Host does for you

  • Hosting: a home for your website and its files.
  • Your domain: connect a name you already own or buy a new domain separately.
  • Email: mailboxes at your own name, such as hello@yourbusiness.co.uk.
  • SSL and backups: a secure HTTPS connection and daily backups.
  • GitHub Sync: checked, hourly updates from GitHub Pages, included with your hosting.
  • A real person: send us a message and someone will reply.

What you (or your AI) do

You provide the words and pictures, ask for changes and check the finished pages. The tools above make those changes yours to do.

Content changes to the site itself are not part of the hosting plan. If you would like us to do hands-on work, ask for a quote.

A few practical questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The Website Builder is the simplest way to start, and an AI can prepare drafts for you to review. The GitHub route has a few more setup steps, but you can ask an AI to create the files and explain each step. You still need to check your words, pictures and links.

Which AI should I use?

Use the one you find easiest to explain your ideas to. A compatible ChatGPT or Claude plan can work with Gravity AI Connect; a GitHub-capable tool can work on your repository; any AI chat can help with text or give you files to upload. Availability and any AI subscription fees depend on the provider.

Is GitHub free?

Yes. You can create a free account, a public repository and a GitHub Pages preview for this setup. Your Gravity Host hosting and domain are separate, and your chosen AI tool may have its own subscription.

What if the AI breaks the site?

GitHub keeps every version. GitHub Sync never copies a broken or empty site that fails its safety checks, and can put the previous version back if the check on your hosting fails. Still review the preview: safety checks cannot judge your words or design.

Can I switch to the Website Builder later?

Yes. You can rebuild your pages in the Website Builder using your existing words and pictures, then review and publish them on your hosting. It does not automatically import a GitHub site. Pause or remove GitHub Sync before publishing the replacement; your domain and email can stay.
