A site built with Lovable, Bolt or v0 still needs a place to live. Free hosting can be a good fit; the differences matter when it is for your business.
All four include free custom-domain support, free SSL and a free subdomain. None includes email at your domain, such as hello@yourbusiness.co.uk.
Lovable itself requires a paid plan for custom domains, but its GitHub sync works on every plan, including Free. You can build in Lovable, sync to GitHub and host the result wherever you like.

From your first files to your own domain
This route keeps your files in GitHub, uses GitHub Pages for a preview and publishes the checked site on your own hosting with us.
Start with a clear request
For the GitHub route, copy a prompt below and replace the words in square brackets with your details. Check the result before you publish it.
Build me a one-page website for [business] in [town]. Plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript, no server-side code, no build tools. Use relative links so it works at any address. Sections: hero, services, about, contact with a form that posts to /contact.php, opening hours, footer. Mobile first, large readable text, good contrast.
Add a testimonials section with three quotes I will give you, matching the existing style.

No. The Website Builder lets you pick a design, edit it in your browser and publish, with no code or AI needed. The GitHub route has a few more setup steps; a developer or an AI tool can help with the files. You still need to check your words, pictures and links.
No. The Website Builder needs no AI, and the GitHub route works exactly the same with a human developer. WordPress needs no AI either. If you want AI help, choose the tool you find easiest to use. Gravity AI Connect needs your own compatible paid ChatGPT or Claude plan and prepares Builder drafts for you to review and publish. An AI coding tool can work on your GitHub files separately; any subscription fees depend on its provider.
Yes. You can create a free account, a public repository and a GitHub Pages preview for this setup. Your hosting with us and your domain are separate, and your chosen AI tool may have its own subscription.
GitHub keeps every version. GitHub Sync never copies a broken or empty site that fails its safety checks, and can put the previous version back if the check on your hosting fails. Still review the preview: safety checks cannot judge your words or design.
Yes. You can rebuild your pages in the Website Builder using your existing words and pictures, then review and publish them on your hosting. It does not automatically import a GitHub site. Pause or remove GitHub Sync before publishing the replacement; your domain and email can stay.
